Relationship annotating

Question for those using the annotating the relationships between concepts, do you set an upper limit of range between concepts?
does it make sense to not annotate relations very far apart and only link concepts that are 1-2 sentences apart from each?

After all, if the context window around the concept is limited then it is probably redundant yes?

We do set a limit of 3 - 4 lines. Usually concepts further apart are not related or the context has changed so linking concepts that are far apart did not make sense for our use case (linking drugs to diseases, symptoms, findings).
